Sometimes you add, mostly you subtract.
Fun means drama, means conflict. So one subtraction can be more effective than twenty gifts.
Beginners shower their characters with gifts, fame, an easy life, only to find the result unsatisfying. An expert will take their characters’ food, kill their family, then lead an invasion of their rich neighbour and be loved for it.
Remember, their lives are for you. That’s what being a god is.
